RWE notified the European Commission of its acquisition of E.ON's renewable energy business and innogy's renewable energy business, along with other assets, as part of a major asset swap transaction.

Downer Group was awarded the construction contract by Innogy subsidiary Belectric Solar and Battery for the 349MW DC (313MW AC) Limondale Solar Farm in southern NSW, Australia. Construction begins October 2018 and is expected to complete in 2020.

Siemens Energy Management received an order from Innogy SE to design, supply and build the grid connection for the Triton Knoll offshore wind farm off the Lincolnshire coast, UK. The project includes an onshore substation and offshore transformer modules.

Seaway Heavy Lifting, part of Subsea 7, was awarded a contract by Triton Knoll Offshore Windfarm Limited for transport and installation of 90 WTG foundations and two offshore substations. The contract is valued between USD 50 million and USD 150 million.

innogy e-mobility US LLC, a subsidiary of innogy SE, acquired BTCPower (Broadband TelCom Power, Inc.), a provider of EV charging hardware. The acquisition gives innogy a full DC product portfolio for the North American market.

J Murphy & Sons won a £100 million contract to install onshore cable circuits for the 860MW Triton Knoll offshore wind farm in Lincolnshire, UK. Main construction is scheduled to begin in summer 2018.

E.ON SE agreed to acquire Innogy SE from RWE AG in a complex deal involving shares and asset swaps, with RWE taking a minority stake in E.ON and the combined renewable-generation businesses.
