Downer Group

Downer Group was awarded the construction contract by Innogy subsidiary Belectric Solar and Battery for the 349MW DC (313MW AC) Limondale Solar Farm in southern NSW, Australia. Construction begins October 2018 and is expected to complete in 2020.

Downer has been awarded a five-year, $400 million contract to provide mining services at the Gruyere gold joint venture between Gold Fields and Gold Road Resources in Western Australia. Construction is planned for early 2018, with mining starting in the December 2018 quarter.

Horowhenua District Council awarded a first-of-its-kind Three Waters contract for operations, maintenance and renewals of drinking-water, wastewater and stormwater assets to Downer, effective July 2017.

The Evolution Rail consortium (Downer, CRRC Changchun, Plenary Group) was selected to design, manufacture, and commission 65 high-capacity metro trains for Victoria, Australia, under a $1.4 billion contract, including a maintenance facility and 30-year maintenance.
