ITC Packaging and the Erum Group created a joint venture, ITCErum Packaging, to sell their packaging solutions in Morocco first and expand internationally. The venture combines ITC's thin-walled plastic packaging with Erum's regional distribution network.

Montebello Packaging announced a $12 million investment in a new production line at its Lebanon plant, marking the site's 25th anniversary. The 160-foot extrusion line is expected to be fully functional by the fourth quarter of 2023.

Azerbaijan Investment Holding and Hungarian company Hell Energy signed an agreement to construct a plant producing aluminium beverage cans in the Alat free economic zone. The cans will be exported regionally and used for bottling on the domestic market.

RDM Group finalized the acquisition of 100% of Fiskeby International Holding AB, a Swedish producer of recycled-fibre packaging board with a 170,000-tonne-per-year mill. The deal makes RDM the largest independent recycled board producer in Europe.

According to banking sources reported by KED Global, US private equity firm TPG agreed to buy a 100% stake in South Korean cosmetic packaging supplier Samhwa at a price in the mid-300 billion won range, about $236.9 million, with CEO Cho Seong-hwan buying a minority stake back.

Pact Group is investing more than $76 million in new packaging manufacturing equipment across its Australian operations to produce recycled packaging. The investment is currently underway as of June 2023.
