BA Glass

CANPACK Group agreed on 28 November 2023 to transfer its CP Glass bottle plant in Orzesze, Poland to BA Glass, subject to merger control approval, with completion expected in the first half of 2024.

BA Glass acquired a 60% equity stake in Mexican glass packaging producer Vidrio Formas, which has two Mexican plants and will be renamed BA Glass México; the price was undisclosed.

BA Glass acquired a majority stake in Vidrio Formas, a Lerma, Mexico maker of customized glass containers, in July 2023. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Portuguese glass packaging maker BA Glass plans to invest about EUR 205 million over five years in its Bulgarian plants, building two new furnaces to double production capacity at its Sofia and Plovdiv facilities. Most of the spending is due in 2020 and 2021.

CVC Capital Partners announced that funds it advises have agreed to acquire Anchor Glass Container Corporation, a Tampa-based US glass container producer, in partnership with BA Glass.

A joint venture of CVC Capital Partners and BA Glass agreed in November 2016 to acquire Tampa, Florida-based glass container maker Anchor Glass Container from KPS Capital Partners and AlpInvest Partners for more than US$1 billion in cash.
