Investor Kartesia has announced a renewed investment in Van De Velde Packaging Group of Wetteren, Belgium, to support its long-term growth. The deal value was not disclosed and completion is subject to regulatory approvals; the announcement is dated 19 June 2026.
Safran will invest €125 million in a new compressor components plant in Welkenraedt, Belgium, in an 18,000 m² former Copeland building, with operations scheduled to start in 2028 through subsidiary Safran Booster Components.
Atlas Copco has acquired LVC Solutions, a compressed air solutions firm in Genk, Belgium, from industrial group Initium, adding it to its Compressor Technique service division. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Ball Corporation has acquired an 80% majority stake in Benepack's European aluminum beverage can production facilities in Genk, Belgium and Hungary for around EUR 184 million. Ball plans to hire over 40 new employees.
Safran Aero Boosters announced a new subsidiary, Safran Booster Components, building an aircraft engine compressor components plant in Welkenraedt, Wallonia, backed by Walloon and Belgian federal investors, operational in 2028.
Guillin Group's French subsidiary Alterecopack acquired Belgian packaging companies Gruyaert Verpakking, a maker of customized cardboard pastry boxes, and distributor Verpakkingen V de V. The two companies had combined 2024 revenue of EUR 19 million and about 40 employees.

Ball Corporation agreed to buy an 80 percent stake in Benepack's beverage can businesses, which have plants in Belgium and Hungary, for about 184 million EUR; closing is expected in Q1 2026.
Ball Corporation is reportedly in ongoing negotiations with Chinese owner Cofco to acquire Belgian can manufacturer Benepack, whose Genk site began production in 2020, with no deal yet signed.
Framatome won an Electrabel contract to modernise, maintain and support the three motor stators of the reactor coolant pumps at Tihange 3 and Doel 4, including spare parts supply.

VPK Group has commissioned FMW Industries to deliver an OCC pulper feed line and an automatic OCC bale wire cutter to its Oudegem plant in Belgium, with a capacity of 1,200 BDMT per day. Commissioning is planned for October 2025.
Armstrong International has secured a European Commission Innovation Fund grant to accelerate expansion of its Herstal, Belgium manufacturing facility for high-temperature heat pumps. The grant amount was not disclosed.
Pauwels Transformers, a subsidiary of Electrical Industries, signed an optional four-year contract worth $80.4 million to supply distribution transformers to four Belgian electricity distributors, running August 2024 to July 2029. The transformers will be made at Saudi Transformers Company in Dammam.
Sodeco Valves, part of Thermador Groupe, signed on August 9, 2024 to acquire the business of Vena Contracta, a Belgian maker of specialty industrial valves, for €1 million paid in cash. Vena Contracta reported sales of €1.4 million in 2023.
Brewery Huyghe in Melle, Belgium, plans EUR 50 million of investments, including a EUR 10 million Delirium Experience Center, a new bottling line of 40,000 bottles per hour (EUR 10 million) and a new canning line (EUR 5 million).
AMPO Poyam Valves supplied around 660 cryogenic valves for Fluxys LNG's Z3 capacity increase at Zeebrugge LNG in Belgium and is providing a year-long field engineering services contract. The project will raise regasification capacity to 6 mtpa.

Belgian dairy Solarec is replacing its production lines with four SIG Midi 12 aseptic filling machines and packaging supplied by SIG. The first machine was installed in Q3 2023.
Saica Group has agreed to acquire a minority share of Pacapime, a Belgian corrugated cardboard company based in Halle with 109 employees and EUR 61 million revenue in 2022. The deal strengthens Saica's presence in the Benelux and France.
