COFCO Coca-Cola Beverages signed an agreement with Guian New Area on March 27, 2020 to build a beverage factory with two soft drink production lines and a 270 million yuan investment. Completion is expected by end of 2021.

thyssenkrupp commissions first commercial PLA bioplastics plant for COFCO in Changchun
thyssenkrupp commissioned the world's first commercial plant using its PLAneo technology to make polylactide bioplastic in Changchun, China. The plant is operated by Jilin COFCO Biomaterial, a COFCO subsidiary, and started production in October 2018.
