Beiqi Foton Motor

ZF Friedrichshafen and Beiqi Foton Motor signed a letter of intent to strengthen their partnership on hybrid transmissions for commercial vehicles. The TraXon 2 Hybrid system will be produced at their existing joint venture in Jiaxing, China, with commercial production scheduled for 2026.

Beiqi Foton Motor and ZF Group plan to build a third joint venture plant in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province, to produce automatic gearboxes for mid-sized trucks. The first phase will have an annual capacity of 55,000 units by 2024, with fixed asset investment of CNY 130 million (USD 19.2 million).

Beijing Pride Power System Technology, a subsidiary of Guangdong Dongfang Precision Science and Technology, signed a contract to supply Beiqi Foton Motor with 5,500 power systems worth CNY950 million (USD140 million) for use in 3,000 passenger cars and 2,500 logistics vehicles.

Beijing Pride Power New Energy Battery Technology, a subsidiary of Dongfang Precision, signed a 2017 strategic procurement contract with Beiqi Foton Motor for power battery systems for 5,500 commercial electric vehicles, totaling CNY950 million.

FOTON Germany Construction Machines GmbH and BROCK Kehrtechnik GmbH entered a strategic partnership to combine engineering expertise and market access, aiming to expand BROCK's sweeper truck business in Germany and internationally, including China.

The first batch of cranes rolled off the production line at Beiqi Foton Motor's relocated crane project in Xuanhua, Zhangjiakou. The project, part of a larger industrial relocation from Beijing, has an investment of 300 million yuan and an annual capacity of 1,000 cranes.
