Midea-owned Welling Auto Parts started production on January 6, 2023 at the first phase of its new NEV parts base in Anqing, Anhui province. The base targets 1 million electric compressors, 1.2 million EPS motors and 200,000 drive motors a year.

Midea Group began construction of a heat pump production and R&D base at Clivet's site in Feltre, Veneto, with a €60 million investment. The base is expected to start operating in the second quarter of 2024.

Midea Group began construction of a new energy vehicle auto parts base in Anqing, Anhui province, with a total investment of about 11 billion yuan ($1.74 billion). The base is designed to produce 60 million units of auto parts annually.

Guangdong Meizhi Compressor (GMCC), a Midea Group company, is setting up its first compressor manufacturing facility outside China at Supa Parner Technology Park in Maharashtra. Midea plans about INR 1,350 crore of investment there and expects operations to begin in 2020.

Chinese appliance maker Midea plans to invest Rs 800 crore in a 43-acre manufacturing facility in Pune producing refrigerators, washing machines and water appliances, employing 500 people and expected operational by end-2018.
