TekniPlex Healthcare has acquired Seisa Medical, a contract development and manufacturing organization. The acquisition transforms TekniPlex into a fully capable CDMO.

TekniPlex Healthcare signed a definitive purchase agreement to acquire Seisa Medical, a medical device manufacturer with facilities in the US, Mexico and Slovakia employing over 2,000 people. The acquisition enhances TekniPlex's capabilities in minimally invasive and interventional therapies.

TekniPlex Healthcare has completed Phase 3 expansion of its Cartago, Costa Rica facility, adding 55,000 square feet for new medical tubing extrusion lines and warehousing. The expansion doubles capacity for micro-extrusions and other medical tubing.

TekniPlex Healthcare announced a new 200,000-sq-ft ISO 13485-certified manufacturing plant in Madison, Wisconsin, scheduled to open in early 2024, expanding capacity for flexible packaging barrier products.

TekniPlex Healthcare is investing in new medical tubing extrusion lines and downstream equipment as part of a 40,000-square-foot expansion of its Cartago, Costa Rica facility. The new lines are expected to begin operation by the end of the second quarter of 2023.
