Toshiba JSW Power Systems

JSW Thermal Energy, a subsidiary of JSW Energy, contracted Toshiba JSW Power Systems to supply two 800 MW steam turbine generators for the 1,600 MW Phase-II of the Salboni Thermal Power Project in West Bengal, India.

JSW Energy entered a definitive agreement with Toshiba Corporation to increase its stake in Toshiba JSW Power Systems Limited (TJPS) from 4.6% to 20.7% (non-diluted) for a cash consideration of Rs 1.5 billion.

JSW Energy has signed definitive agreements to acquire an additional equity stake in Toshiba JSW Power Systems from Toshiba Corporation for ₹150 crore, increasing its shareholding to 20.7% on a non-diluted basis. The transaction is expected to close on or before June 15, 2026.

Toshiba JSW Power Systems has been awarded a contract by India's NTPC to implement a centralized monitoring platform covering 165 thermal and renewable energy facilities. The system, incorporating EtaPRO software, is due to become operational in March-April 2027.

Toshiba JSW Power Systems Pvt Ltd has appointed Takehiko Matsushita as its new Managing Director.
