JSW Energy is expanding its KSK Mahanadi thermal power plant in India by 1,800 MW (a 600 MW unit and 1,200 MW balance), with capex per MW estimated 25-30% below industry average due to shared infrastructure. The 600 MW unit is on track for FY28 and the 1,200 MW for FY29.
The National Company Law Tribunal sanctioned JSW Energy's scheme to acquire GE Power India's boiler business, including its Durgapur manufacturing facility, on October 1, 2026. Management said the transaction should close soon.
