Merit Functional Foods

Bunge Ltd. made a 30 million Canadian-dollar capital investment in Merit Functional Foods, giving it a minority interest in the Canadian company to accelerate construction of a plant-based protein production facility.

The governments of Canada and Manitoba will invest up to $2.5 million cost-shared funding to support new technologies in Merit Functional Foods' new plant protein production facility in Winnipeg, creating up to 85 jobs in Phase 1.
