BASF Idemitsu to shut down BDO plant at Chiba Complex and terminate joint venture
BASF Idemitsu Co., Ltd. will shut down its 1,4-butanediol manufacturing facility (25,000 tons/year) at the Chiba Complex in December 2020 and terminate the joint venture agreement between BASF and Idemitsu Kosan, with BASF taking over the BDO business.
