Etihad Rail

Vossloh has won a contract to supply 38 turnouts and 495,000 sleeper sets of rail fastening system W 30 HH for Package 2A of the Etihad Rail network, linking Ruwais with Saudi Arabia's Ghuweifat region. The contract was awarded by a joint venture between CSCEC and SK Engineering & Construction.

L&T Construction's metallurgical and material handling business group was awarded a contract by Etihad Rail Company PJSC to design and build freight handling facilities at seven strategic locations across the UAE. The project will be executed in a joint venture with Power China.

Hitachi Rail STS has been awarded a AED 1.6 billion (€400 million) contract by Etihad Rail to design, build and integrate a modern signalling system on a new 605 km freight line connecting Fujairah port to the Saudi border. The project is expected to take about three and a half years.

Etihad Rail awarded civil and track works contracts worth AED 4.4 billion ($1.2 billion) for Packages B and C of Stage Two of the UAE national railway, connecting Abu Dhabi and Dubai, to China Railway Construction Corporation and Ghantoot Transport & General Contracting.
