Taihan Cable & Solution

Taihan Cable & Solution Co. has secured 130 billion won ($94 million) in power grid orders in the United States, including a turnkey contract to supply extra high voltage cables for a semiconductor plant in New York and medium/low voltage cable deals for infrastructure projects in Los Angeles.

Taihan Cable & Solution signed an MOU with Balfour Beatty to bid for UK power distribution projects worth over £220 million until 2030, and secured an initial 36 billion won ($27.5 million) project to replace overhead lines with underground lines in North Wessex Downs.

Taihan Cable & Solution was awarded a $65 million turnkey contract by Kuwait's Ministry of Electricity and Water & Renewable Energy for an EHV power grid project in Kuwait City. The project includes supply of 300kV cables, design, installation, and testing.

Taihan Cable & Solution won two orders from TenneT to build 380-kV ultra-high voltage power grids in Germany, with a combined value of about 70 billion won ($57.4 million). The announcement was made on February 2, 2023.

Taihan won a bid for a 400kV extra-high voltage project worth approximately KRW 91 billion in Kuwait. The project involves laying 100km of subterranean cables for the South Al Mutlaa City development.
