Zibo Qixiang Tengda Chemical

Zibo Qixiang Tengda Chemical Co., Ltd. completed the first phase (100,000 tonnes/year) of its 200,000 tonnes/year nitrile latex project, with the line starting up successfully on November 17, 2020.

Zibo Qixiang Tengda Chemical signed an investment agreement with Qinzhou Government to build a new material production base in Qinzhou, Guangxi, with total investment of CNY 12.2 billion. The project will be completed in two phases, producing maleic anhydride, MEK, NBR, PDH, propylene oxide, and iso nonyl alcohol.

Zibo Qixiang Tengda Chemical Company (QXTD) has selected Dow and Johnson Matthey's LP Oxo Technology to produce isononyl alcohol (INA) at a new manufacturing facility in China. The plant is expected to have an annual capacity of 200,000 metric tonnes and commence operations in 2023.

Dow and Johnson Matthey have won a contract to supply their LP Oxo technology for a 200,000 t/y isononyl alcohol (INA) plant to Zibo Qixiang Tengda Chemical (QXTD) in Zibo City, China. The plant is expected to go online in 2023.

Zibo Qixiang Tengda Chemical Co., Ltd. announced on April 9, 2020, that it plans to invest 1.798 billion yuan in a 200,000-ton/year isononanol project. The project includes a 200,000-ton/year isononanol plant, raw material pretreatment unit, and supporting utilities.

Honeywell UOP will supply its Oleflex propylene technology to Ceyhan Polipropilen Uretim for a PDH/PP complex in Turkey, and to Zibo Qixiang Tengda Chemical for a propylene expansion in China.

Honeywell announced that Zibo Qixiang Tengda Chemical (QTXD) will use its UOP C3 Oleflex technology for a new propylene unit in Zibo, China. The unit is expected to produce approximately 700,000 tons/year of polymer-grade propylene.

Honeywell announced that Zibo Qixiang Tengda Chemical Co. Ltd. (QXTD) will use Honeywell UOP's C3 Oleflex technology to expand propylene production in Zibo, Shandong, China. Honeywell UOP will provide licensing, process design, equipment, training, and catalysts.

Zibo Qixiang Tengda Chemical decided to build a propylene oxide plant with 300,000 tons annual capacity on its own, after originally planning a joint venture with SKC. The investment is nearly CNY 3.8 billion ($524 million) and construction is expected to take two years.

Evonik and Thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions have licensed HPPO technology to Zibo Qixiang Tengda Chemical to produce propylene oxide in Zibo, Shandong. The plant will have capacity up to 300 kmt per year and is expected to start in the first half of 2022.

Evonik and thyssenkrupp Industrial Solutions have licensed their HPPO technology to Zibo Qixiang Tengda Chemical for a new propylene oxide plant in China. thyssenkrupp will handle process design and key components, and Evonik will supply hydrogen peroxide technology and catalyst.

Zibo Qixiang Tengda Chemical is expanding its propylene project from 450,000 to 700,000 tons per year, increasing investment to CNY 3.9 billion.
