LINXIS Group, together with its financial sponsor IK Partners, acquired Shaffer, a manufacturer of industrial mixers and process equipment, from Bundy Baking Solutions. The Bundy family will remain as minority owners.

Linxis Group, with financial partner IK Investment Partners, acquired Bakon, a Dutch specialist in food processing and bakery equipment, from its managers and Rabo Investments. The acquisition complements Linxis's portion process division.

Shick Esteve opened a new technology center in Kansas City that will test and demonstrate its mixing automation, process controls and industrial Internet of Things technology.

Shick Esteve announced plans to spend $1.7 million to build a new 15,000 sq. ft. technology center in Kansas City, Missouri, for testing and demonstrating ingredient and mixing automation, process controls and IIoT technology. The center is expected to open in Q4 2019.

Shick Esteve held the grand opening of a 108,000 square-foot manufacturing expansion at 4323 Clary Blvd, Kansas City, Missouri, with new forming, rolling, laser cutting and welding equipment. The expansion was announced April 1, 2019.

Linxis Group, owner of VMI, Diosna and Shick Esteve, acquired Unifiller Systems, a supplier of portioning and depositing equipment for bakeries based in Vancouver, Canada.
