Elix Polymers and Repsol have signed a circular economy partnership agreement. Repsol will supply ISCC PLUS-certified chemically recycled styrene to Elix Polymers on a regular basis starting from 2021 for the production of ABS/SAN resins.

Sinochem completed the acquisition of Elix Polymers, a Spanish producer of ABS resins and derivatives, from Sun European Partners for an enterprise value of EUR 195 million.

Sinochem International, through a Singaporean unit, will acquire a 75.9% stake in Spain's ELIX Polymers for EUR 144 million from Global Arlington, gaining its ABS and modified plastics technology, with plans to set up plants in eastern China.

ELIX Polymers announced a €4 million investment to optimize its ABS powder production facilities at its Tarragona plant. The project is expected to start in 2018 and be developed through 2018 and 2019.
