STF Group invested around EUR 1.5 million in a new solid-state polycondensation plant at its headquarters in Aicha, Germany. The site can now produce 35,000 t/y of food-grade resin, with plans to increase to 50,000 t/y by 2021.

Balcke-Dürr Group, a Mutares subsidiary, signed an agreement to purchase the Heat Transfer Product division of STF from the Trifone family. The unit is based in Magenta, Italy, and supplies engineered solutions to the power industry. Closing is expected by June 2018.
