Whirlpool of India Ltd approved an expansion of its refrigerator manufacturing capacity at its Pune facility, adding 300,000 units annually to the existing 5.4 million unit capacity. The expansion will be implemented in phases by July 2026 with an investment of ₹270 crore.

Whirlpool of India plans to expand its Pune manufacturing facility that produces refrigerators with an investment of ₹375 crore. The expansion will increase refrigeration manufacturing capacity in two phases over five years.

Whirlpool of India plans to invest Rs 182 crore ($28M) to increase single-door refrigerator production capacity by 600,000 units per year, from 2.1 million to 2.7 million units. The investment will be spent over two years.
