Rolls-Royce signed a seven-year contract with Azad Engineering Limited to produce and supply critical engine parts for defence and military aircraft engines, as disclosed in an exchange filing on January 29, 2024.
Azad Engineering has begun setting up its third manufacturing facility in Medchal Malkajgiri district near Hyderabad, investing over Rs 500 crore over three years to make critical components for aviation and power generation. The foundation stone was laid on November 22, 2021, and about 1,000 jobs are expected.
