Allegro MicroSystems

Allegro MicroSystems has signed a long-term deal with United Microelectronics (UMC) under which UMC will remain Allegro's primary contract chipmaker.

Allegro MicroSystems and United Microelectronics Corporation (UMC) signed a long-term agreement for UMC to continue as Allegro's primary foundry wafer manufacturer, covering technical collaboration and capacity for Allegro's automotive-grade technologies.

Allegro MicroSystems held a groundbreaking ceremony for a 15,000-square foot expansion at its Manchester, NH facility. The expansion will support R&D and is planned for completion in summer 2018. The company will employ upwards of 400 people at the site.
