Iren completed the first parallel of the steam turbine for the new 430 MW combined cycle at its Turbigo thermoelectric plant in Italy, bringing total plant capacity to approximately 1,280 MW. Ansaldo Energia supplied and installed the main components.

The Turbigo thermoelectric power plant in Italy will be expanded with a new AE94.3A gas turbine, increasing capacity from 850 MW to about 1,280 MW, with first parallel by March 2022 and full operation by June 2022.

Demont was awarded a contract by Ansaldo Energia for the assembly of the recovery boiler for the construction of the New Combined Cycle TL 400 at the Iren plant in Turbigo, Italy. The work includes mechanical and electro-instrumental assembly of the steam generator, piping, and chimney.

IREN SpA, on behalf of IRETI SpA, awarded a contract to Getra Power SpA for the supply of a 63 MVA AT/MT transformer for a primary electrical distribution substation in Turin, valued at EUR 1,180,127. The award was made on 2017-12-28.
