Microchip Technology announced that China's Ministry of Commerce has agreed to review its planned acquisition of Microsemi for USD 8.35 billion. Microchip hopes to complete the deal in June 2018.

Microchip Technology Inc is in advanced talks to acquire Microsemi Corp, with a deal valuing Microsemi roughly in the mid-$60s a share, according to the Wall Street Journal.

Microsemi Corporation has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the high performance timing business of Vectron International from Knowles Corporation for $130 million. The acquisition is expected to close in Microsemi's fiscal first quarter ending December 2017.

Microsemi Corp. announced that ECI will use its DIGI-G4 OTN processor chip in the Apollo packet-optical transport platforms. This is a design win for Microsemi.
