328 Support Services GmbH (328SSG) and German federal and state ministries signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish DRA GmbH, a new OEM, with a final assembly line for the D328NEU aircraft at Leipzig/Halle Airport. The project anticipates creating up to 250 jobs in Leipzig and over 100 jobs in Oberpfaffenhofen.

Sierra Nevada Corp. was awarded a $329 million contract for 12 A-29 aircraft for the Nigerian Air Force, including ground training devices, spares, and support. Work in Jacksonville, Florida, completion by May 2024.

MDA received a multi-million dollar contract from Sierra Nevada Corporation to provide a communications subsystem for the Dream Chaser Cargo System, which will support at least six cargo missions to the ISS between 2020 and 2024.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center awarded Sierra Nevada Corp. a $30,995,905 contract modification for the AN/PLT-5 Thor II man-portable explosives countermeasure system. Work will be performed in Rancho, California and is expected to be completed by March 2018.
