Leonardo and Thales are considering a joint acquisition of Maxar Technologies' MDA space division, which could fetch more than $1 billion.

MDA received a multi-million dollar contract from Sierra Nevada Corporation to provide a communications subsystem for the Dream Chaser Cargo System, which will support at least six cargo missions to the ISS between 2020 and 2024.

Magellan Aerospace Corporation was awarded a $110 million contract from MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. to build key components, including spacecraft buses, for the Canadian Space Agency's RADARSAT Constellation Mission.
