Symrise AG signed a purchase agreement to acquire the fragrance and aroma chemicals business of Sensient Technologies Corporation for an undisclosed amount. The unit generated €77 million in 2019.

Symrise opened a new production site for flavorings and fragrances in Nantong, China, representing its largest individual investment of €50 million.

Symrise has officially opened an expanded innovation center in Jakarta, Indonesia, with an investment of around €3 million, to develop fragrances, cosmetics, food and beverage solutions for the local market.

Symrise AG and DRT have signed an agreement for DRT to acquire Pinova Inc., a manufacturer of specialty resins and chemical intermediates in Georgia, USA, for $150 million. Symrise and DRT will cooperate on product development and raw material supply.
