Moray Offshore Renewable Power

ABB has been awarded a major order to deliver 100 transformers to the 950 MW Moray East offshore wind project.

ABB won an order from MHI Vestas Offshore Wind to supply 100 WindSTAR transformers for the Moray East offshore wind project in the North Sea, off the coast of Scotland. The order was booked in Q2 2019.

MHI Vestas received its largest order to supply 100 V164-9.5 MW turbines for the 950 MW Moray East offshore wind farm in Scotland, including a 15-year service agreement. The project reached financial close on December 6, 2018.
