Lundin Mining awarded a contract to Metso for the Somincor Zinc Expansion Project at Neves-Corvo mine in Portugal. Metso will supply a C120 jaw crusher, flotation cells and filter presses for the expansion of the zinc plant from 1.1 million tonnes/year to 2.5 million tonnes/year.

The announcement was made on December 21, 2017.

Lundin Mining Corp. agreed to sell its 30% indirect interest in TF Holdings, owner of the Tenke copper-cobalt mine in the DRC, to China's BHR Partners for $1.5 billion. The deal is contingent on Freeport McMoRan's sale of its stake to China Molybdenum.
