China Molybdenum announced that Shanshan Company's subsidiary Shanshan Energy has cumulatively purchased approximately USD 27.25 million of cobalt products from IXM S.A. under a 2019 contract.

China Molybdenum Company (CMOC) and Sumitomo have given final approval for the development of a new block cave mine at their Northparkes Mines joint venture in New South Wales, Australia, with an investment of over $200 million over three and a half years. Construction starts January 2019, full production expected mid-2022.

Lundin Mining Corp. agreed to sell its 30% indirect interest in TF Holdings, owner of the Tenke copper-cobalt mine in the DRC, to China's BHR Partners for $1.5 billion. The deal is contingent on Freeport McMoRan's sale of its stake to China Molybdenum.
