WEG plans a new electric motor factory in Santo Tirso, Portugal, investing EUR 23.5 million to build 22,600 sq m. The plant is due to start operations in Q1 2024 and create about 100 jobs, and it will absorb production from WEG's Maia site.

Dunapack Packaging has started trial production at its new corrugated packaging plant in Dunavarsány, Hungary, after an investment of almost HUF 24 billion, creating more than 100 jobs.

DS Smith has started production at its new 34,000 sqm packaging plant in Castelfranco Emilia (Modena), Italy, with a corrugator and three converting machines running. The plant will eventually have 10 production lines and over 200 million sqm of annual capacity.

Zhejiang Qilaoban Compressor Manufacturing is building a single-storey steel plant in Quzhou's Qujiang District to produce 1,000 screw air compressors, 20 centrifugal compressors, 500 refrigerated dryers, 500 PID air supply control systems and 1,000 air tanks per year. The project's investment is RMB 148.4 million, with main construction scheduled from Q4 2022 to Q3 2023.

Ardagh Metal Packaging received full planning permission for a GBP 150 million drinks can factory at Global Point Business Park in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim, creating 160 jobs. The 460,000 sq ft facility will supply customers across Ireland, Britain and Europe.

Rand-Whitney held a beam signing and topping-off ceremony for its largest corrugated packaging facility in Boylston, Massachusetts, built with PROCON as design-builder. The plant is due to open in spring 2023 with capacity of 350 million boxes annually.

Anduril Industries will invest $60 million in a new manufacturing and research facility at 1435 Hills Place Northwest in Atlanta, Georgia, creating more than 180 jobs in Fulton County over three years. The site will house Area-I, its unmanned aircraft systems subsidiary.

Trebor Developments completed the pre-sale of a 625,000 sq ft freehold turnkey site at Delta Park, Peterborough to Crown Holdings for a build-to-suit aluminium beverage can plant, with total capital value over £150 million. Emerson has inaugurated an expanded facility in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, to manufacture Rosemount pressure and temperature transmitters and manifolds, adding production capacity to serve its key customers in the Kingdom. The announcement was made on June 24, 2022.

Edwards, part of Atlas Copco, inaugurated a new 16,000 m2 vacuum pump plant in Asan City, South Korea, to serve global semiconductor manufacturing. Production began in June 2022 and the plant will create about 150 jobs.

Highly Marelli's Wuhu plant in Anhui province, China, has begun operation after its first mass-produced heat exchanger rolled off the line on 20 June 2022. The plant will produce HVAC units and heat exchangers for new energy vehicles, with annual capacity of 800,000 HVAC units and 7 million heat exchangers.

Wilo SE officially opened its Wilo USA headquarters in Cedarburg with a 244,000-square-foot building that expands manufacturing and production, after a ribbon-cutting on June 21, 2022.

Keiding, Inc., a Milwaukee-based maker of molded pulp protective packaging, is opening a second factory at N90 W14507 Commerce Drive in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, creating 20 manufacturing jobs. The facility is expected to open in November 2023.

Sprinkles Donut Shop is investing $606,998 in a new 10,919-square-foot central industrial kitchen at 3453 Quincy Street in Jamestown Charter Township, Michigan. The kitchen is expected to directly create 10 new jobs and enable wholesale production.

Otis officially inaugurated its new factory in Donostia (San Sebastian), Basque Country, with a 20 million euro investment that makes elevator motors and safety systems. About 80% of output will be exported, and the plant had been operating for a couple of months.
