Wärtsilä signed a 12-year performance-based agreement with Carnival Corporation, valued at about EUR 900 million, to handle engine maintenance and monitoring for 79 Carnival vessels, effective April 1, 2017.

Wärtsilä Yuchai Engine Company was contracted to supply two 16-cylinder Wärtsilä 32 engines for a new sand pumping vessel being built at the Dongguan Xiandai Shipbuilding yard for a private Chinese operator. Delivery of the engines is scheduled for mid 2017.
