Coleus Packaging invested about R200 million upgrading its Alrode facility and equipment, including new SACMI punching and lining machines, a new coater and printer, and expanded factory footprint. The upgrade was officially launched on March 20, 2026.

Italian SACMI, through SACMI Packaging & Chocolate, acquired a 65% majority stake in France's Groupe Emballage Technologies, which owns Etpack, Sermatec and Pactisoud. The deal was made official on 19 December 2025.

SACMI Group announced the sale of its Beverage Business Unit, a maker of beverage filling, stretch-blowing and labeling systems, to Omnia Technologies; the deal is expected to close by the end of summer 2024.

Amcor Rigid Plastics purchased a Sacmi CBF20 20-cavity compression blow forming machine for making HDPE pharmaceutical bottles at its Youngsville, North Carolina plant, announced in late 2016.
