Duni Group of Sweden is acquiring 80% of LinePack Oy, a Finnish company that designs, equips, installs and services automated packaging solutions for the food industry. LinePack has annual revenue of about EUR 2 million and six employees; the deal was announced on June 3, 2025.

Ringmetall SE agreed with the owner family to acquire all shares of Hutek Oy of Nastola, Finland, a producer of bag-in-box packaging, effective 8 January 2025. Hutek generated revenue of about EUR 4 million last year.

oceansix future paths, through subsidiary Oceansix S.L., bought the business of Finnish reusable packaging firm Original RePack Oy in exchange for shares and a cash payment, with total consideration of about CDN $2.39 million.

Korona Fund IV, managed by Korona Invest Oy, completed its acquisition of a majority stake in Fredman Group Oy on April 18, 2024, after Finnish Competition and Consumer Authority approval without conditions. Fredman focuses on kitchen products and food packaging solutions.

One Equity Partners announced completion of its sale of Walki Group Oy to Oji Holdings Corporation. Walki is a packaging manufacturer.

Emballator Group agreed to acquire Europak Oy, an Espoo-based maker of blow-moulded plastic canisters with about EUR 8 million turnover; closing is expected on 1 September 2023 and the price was not disclosed.

Walki Group completed the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Westpak Oy Ab and Flexipack Oy Ab, Finnish flexible packaging producers serving Nordic food brands. Combined 2021 sales were about EUR 40 million; the price was not disclosed.

Mayr-Melnhof Karton AG completed its acquisition of Finnish cartonboard and saturating kraft paper maker Kotkamills on 2 August 2021, after regulatory approvals. The deal strengthens MM's virgin-fiber cartonboard position and adds cupstock.

MB Funds and the management invest in Pyroll Packaging, a Finnish maker of sustainable packaging with nine manufacturing sites, under a transaction signed on 5 May 2021. Pyroll had net sales of 60m EUR in 2020.

MM Group agreed to acquire Kotkamills Group Oyj from its shareholders for an enterprise value of around EUR 425 million. Kotkamills operates a cartonboard mill in Kotka, Finland, and closing is expected by mid-2021.

Mondi completed its acquisition of 100% of Powerflute Group Holdings Oy, a division of Nordic Packaging and Container Holdings, for EUR 365 million on an enterprise value basis. The Kuopio mill produces 285,000 tonnes of semi-chemical fluting annually.

Engineering firm Amitec acquired a 100% stake in Formeca, a Finnish packaging machinery producer, from Stora Enso.
