Zhejiang Petrochemical has announced plans to build a paraxylene plant in Zhoushan, Zhejiang, capable of producing 4 million tons per year, as part of China's push to reduce paraxylene imports.

Alfa Laval signed a procurement contract with Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) to supply six key engine-room systems and equipment for China's first domestically built large luxury cruise ship, part of a CSSC project.

Wenzhou Xifa Industrial is building a new factory in Wenzhou, Zhejiang, with a construction area of about 40,000 square meters and new high-speed weaving, printing and packaging machines. Completion of the building phase is expected in early November 2019.

COFCO Packaging signed a packaging supply agreement with Chinese herbal tea maker Jia Duo Bao (JDB) under which COFCO will produce 70% of the metal cans JDB needs in 2019. The deal was signed in Beijing and reported on 15 January 2019.

ANDRITZ received an order from Shaanxi ZhenAn Pumped Storage, a subsidiary of State Grid Corporation of China, to supply four 350-MW reversible pump-turbines and motor-generators for the ZhenAn plant in Shaanxi. The contract value is more than 100 million euros, with commissioning by end-2023.
