Stiga RM, a Latvian timber company, entered into a cooperation agreement worth nearly €3 million with Danish automation provider BILA for the design, manufacture and installation of custom robotic solutions at its wood-wool cement board plant. The project aims to replace manual labor with robotic technologies.
Stiga RM is constructing a new 15,000-square-metre wood wool cement board factory in Tukums, Latvia, with equipment supplied by SCM Group. The plant is expected to start production by the end of 2025, creating nearly 100 jobs and producing up to 4.5 million square metres of board annually.
