STMicroelectronics and Sanan Optoelectronics silicon carbide chip factory nears production in Chongqing
The Sanan STMicroelectronics project in Chongqing, China, with a total investment of about 30 billion yuan, is expected to start production in August 2024, two months ahead of schedule. The project includes a silicon carbide substrate factory operated by Sanan Optoelectronics and a chip factory jointly owned by Sanan (51%) and STMicroelectronics (49%).
