Zhuzhou CRRC Times Semiconductor

GAC Component Co., Ltd. and Zhuzhou CRRC Times Semiconductor Co., Ltd. set up a semiconductor joint venture, Guangzhou Qinglan Semiconductor Co., Ltd., with registered capital of 300 million yuan. The JV will build an IGBT module manufacturing base in Guangzhou in two phases, each with 300,000 automotive IGBT modules per year capacity, expected for operation in 2023 and 2025 respectively. Total investment is about 463 million yuan.

Guangzhou Qinglan Semiconductor Co., Ltd., a joint venture between GAC Component and Zhuzhou CRRC Times Semiconductor, has inaugurated its IGBT production line in Guangzhou. The project has a planned total investment of 463 million yuan, with Phase One achieving full-scale production at 400,000 automotive IGBT modules annually.

Zhuzhou CRRC Times Semiconductor, a subsidiary of CRRC Times Electric, has been designated as the official IGBT module supplier for a Valeo e-drive system project. The project will first be used in a Renault vehicle, with production starting in 2023 and total delivery expected to exceed 2.5 million units over 4 years.
