Hyosung TNC plans to invest $1 billion to establish multiple Bio-BDO production plants in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Vietnam, with an annual capacity of 200,000 tons. The first 50,000-ton plant is expected to start production in the first half of 2026.

Hyosung TNC received an investment registration certificate for a nearly $1 billion Bio-BDO biological product manufacturing plant in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Vietnam, with a capacity of 200,000 tons per year. The plant will produce Bio-BDO from sugarcane fermentation for bio-spandex fibers.
