Mitsubishi Electric India Private Limited inaugurated a new air conditioner and compressor manufacturing facility at Origins by Mahindra in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The facility, developed with an investment of approximately ₹2,100 crore, has an annual production capacity of 300,000 indoor and outdoor room air conditioners and 650,000 compressors.

Omron Healthcare will set up a medical devices manufacturing plant at Origins by Mahindra in Chennai, India, with an investment of INR 128 crore. The plant will manufacture blood pressure monitors for the domestic market.

Mitsubishi Electric India signed an MoU with the Tamil Nadu government for a Rs 1,891 crore air-conditioner and compressor factory in Peruvoyal Village, Thiruvallur District, on a 52-acre site. The plant is targeted to start production in October 2025 and create more than 2,000 jobs.
