Mitsubishi Electric India signed an MoU with the Tamil Nadu government for a Rs 1,891 crore air-conditioner and compressor factory in Peruvoyal Village, Thiruvallur District, on a 52-acre site. The plant is targeted to start production in October 2025 and create more than 2,000 jobs.
Mitsubishi Electric will invest about 2.2 billion Indian rupees through its subsidiary Mitsubishi Electric India to build a factory manufacturing inverters and FA control system products, expected to start operations in December 2023.
