Surteco Group SE acquired the Laminates & Performance Films and Coated Fabrics businesses of Synthomer plc for USD 255 million, strengthening its position in North American decorative surfaces market.

Surteco Group SE closed the acquisition of the OMNOVA laminates and performance films and coated fabrics divisions from Synthomer PLC, effective February 28, 2023. The acquired business has locations in the United States, Canada, and Thailand.

Synthomer announced the conditional sale of its laminates, films and coated fabrics businesses to Surteco Group for $255 million (£208 million). The transaction is expected to close in Q1 2023.

Surteco Group SE, via its subsidiary Surteco North America Inc., signed an agreement to acquire the 'Laminates and performance films and coated fabrics' business from Synthomer plc's subsidiary Omnova Solutions Inc. for $255 million. The business employs about 880 people in the USA and Thailand.
