Valeo chose CRRC Times Semiconductor to supply insulated gate bipolar transistor (IGBT) modules for its electric drive system, which will be used in an upcoming Renault model. Orders are expected to exceed 2.5 million units over four years, with mass production starting in 2023.

CRRC Times Semiconductor, a subsidiary of CRRC Times Electric, will invest CNY11.2 billion to build two factories for low and medium-voltage power semiconductor devices in Zhuzhou and Yixing, China. Each plant will have an annual capacity of 360,000 devices.
