KANSAI HELIOS Group

KANSAI HELIOS completed its acquisition of WEILBURGER Coatings, the entire industrial coatings business of GREBE Holding in Weilburg, Germany, including WEILBURGER Coatings GmbH in Germany and WEILBURGER Asia Limited in Hong Kong. The deal was first announced in February 2024.

On February 9, 2024, KANSAI HELIOS signed a share purchase agreement with GREBE Holding to acquire its entire industrial coatings business, WEILBURGER Coatings, which includes WEILBURGER Coatings GmbH in Germany and WEILBURGER Asia Limited in Hong Kong. WEILBURGER Coatings has a turnover of around 150 million Euro and about 600 employees.

Atcoat has become a part of the Kansai Paint company group and will join forces with Helios Resins, a specialist in coating and composite resins. The move aims to extend competencies and broaden the product portfolio.

Kansai Helios will acquire all business assets of Beckers Group in the Railway Coatings segment, including recipes, railway homologations and customer database, excluding customers from India and China. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of 2023.

KANSAI HELIOS signed an agreement to acquire 100% of CWS Lackfabrik GmbH, a German powder coatings and resins producer with operations in Germany, USA, Denmark and Poland.

KANSAI HELIOS Group has completed the acquisition of all assets of Westdeutsche Farben GmbH (wefa), a German coatings manufacturer for the railway industry, based in Essen. The acquisition strengthens KANSAI HELIOS' railway business and German footprint.
