Kansai Paint

Atcoat has become a part of the Kansai Paint company group and will join forces with Helios Resins, a specialist in coating and composite resins. The move aims to extend competencies and broaden the product portfolio.

AkzoNobel N.V. completed its acquisition of Colombia-based paints and coatings company Grupo Orbis, which has consolidated revenue of around €360 million. The transaction includes the Pintuco paints business, Andercol and Poliquim (resins, adhesives, specialty chemicals), and distribution services.

Kansai Plascon Africa Limited, a subsidiary of Kansai Paint Co, acquired Sadolin Paints operations in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda for over USD 100 million.

Japanese coatings manufacturer Kansai Paint has made a deal to purchase Slovenia-based Helios.

Kansai Paint signed a share purchase agreement to acquire 100% of Helios Coatings Group, making Helios its European center for R&D, innovation and business development. The transaction is expected to close in two to three months after antitrust approval.
