Sunds Fibertech secured a contract from Medite Smartply for a large-scale modernisation programme at its production facility in Clonmel, Ireland. The project, called Project SHINE, includes upgrading energy and drying systems, with Sunds supplying two next-generation dryer modernisation systems and a PLC upgrade.

MEDITE SMARTPLY completed a €44 million upgrade of its OSB factory in County Waterford, Ireland, including a new drying, energy and screening system and a biomass energy plant. The upgrade increases output and enables 100% renewable biomass energy for process drying and heating.
