Aboitiz Equity Ventures Inc. signed a nonbinding exclusivity agreement with partner CRH Plc to potentially acquire the majority of Lafarge Republic Inc. and related companies, including four Luzon-based cement plants.

Building materials group CRH completed its acquisition of US-based aggregates and infrastructure products supplier Arcosa Inc for a total enterprise value of approximately US$8.5 billion.
