Coalza Systems, a Spanish packaging machinery company, has acquired Irta Group, a Spanish manufacturer of horizontal packaging machinery and dosing systems. The acquisition strengthens Coalza's position in the international market and expands its product portfolio.

Coalza and IRTA Group have been undergoing a merger to provide better service and support to customers and expand internationally in the packaging machinery market.

Coalza has introduced a new high-performance packaging, boxing, and palletizing system for potato chips and snacks, achieving bagging speeds of 50-65 BPM with inert gas injection. The company is also merging with IRTA Group to expand internationally.

IRTA Group and Coalza Systems have signed an agreement to form a single corporate group, combining their vertical packaging machinery businesses while continuing to operate independently.
