Biotech Dental officially inaugurated a new Industry 4.0 factory in Salon-de-Provence, France, for the production of invisible dental aligners under its Smilers brand.

Henry Schein completed the acquisition of a majority ownership stake in Biotech Dental S.A.S., a French provider of dental implants, clear aligners, and digital dental software. The transaction was announced on December 16, 2022.

Smilers, a subsidiary of Biotech Dental, is investing EUR 15 million in a new ultra-automated plant near Salon-de-Provence, France. The facility will produce over 10,000 dental aligners daily starting September 2022 and employ 300 people at full capacity.
