Sai Microelectronics (Sai Micro) has signed a batch order for MEMS-OCS (MEMS Optical Cross-Connect) products. The customer is undisclosed.

Bure has entered into an agreement to acquire 17.0 percent of the shares in Silex Microsystems AB for SEK 917 million, as part of a consortium that collectively acquires 48.2 percent of the company. The transaction values Silex at SEK 5.5 billion.

The German government will likely block the Chinese takeover of Elmos' chip factory by Silex, a subsidiary of Chinese group Sai Microelectronics. Elmos announced the development on November 7, 2022.

Sai MicroElectronics signed an agreement with Hefei High-Tech Industrial Development Zone to build a CNY5.1 billion (USD803 million) MEMS wafer foundry in Hefei, Anhui. The facility will produce 20,000 12-inch wafers per month.
